Angkor Wat Earns over $24 Million in 9 Months

SIEM REAP: Since January, Angkor Wat has welcomed nearly half a million international visitors, earning almost $25 million. Compared to the same time last year, numbers are up 365%.

In the first nine months of 2023, Angkor received more than 539,561 international visitors, earning $24,955,397 US according to a press release issued by the Angkor Institute on October 1.

According to the report, the Angkor temple complex sold about 41,048 tickets generating $1,863,466 US in September alone-up over 100% when compared to September 2022.
